Then, we had a family birthday party at our house on Sunday, thrown by our parents!  They made homemade mojitos, an arugula salad (of yumminess), fresh bread with a cinnamon honey butter, shrimp and scallop lasagna, and a chocolate cake with rainbow chip icing (my birthday favorite).

On Monday, I went to Augusta for work and got to see a few old friends, as well as my pastor of the church I grew up in, as well as married Michael and me!  It was a birthday treat in itself!

As you can see above, on Wednesday, my cousin Stephanie and her girls, Savannah and Ryleigh came to visit us before school started back for Savannah!

Then, after they left, we had a quick zip up to Rome and back and on Friday, I headed to Charleston for the weekend with my friend Katie's family with dear Sheridan, my August road trip buddy.  We used to mainly do the road trips for work... but since we can't do that together any more, we got to do pleasure.

We had a low-key weekend, but it was nice!  We played with her sweet baby, Maggie, ate some delicious treats from Market Street Sweets (Sheridan's family's business), had a yummy dinner out, had yummy breakfasts made by Katie and a great dinner with her hubby Matt's mom's recipe too.  AND we watched "Dirty Dancing" and went to see "The Help."  Great weekend!
