Another Big Weekend

Libby got another exciting weekend away this weekend - and it was a long one, too!  Since my grandparents were visiting Rome, and Marmena typically watches Libby on Fridays, I took her to Rome on Thursday to stay right through the weekend.

We had a lovely day together, visiting and meeting friends and got to eat at the delicious Harvest Moon Bakery for lunch.  Libby dined on the veggies I brought her, a few bites of the black bean patty that made up my black bean burger, and her own bowl of fried okra.  THEN, Marmena got her a mini-cupcake that was chocolate cake with a peanut butter frosting - with Reese's candy on top!  Libby began cautiously with the cake, but when she first got a taste of that frosting, she figured out pretty quickly that it might be the best part.  She ate every clump of frosting and crumb of cake!  And then went to Marmena's to frolic a bit in the yard before nap time.

And then she was the very first person to dine at Marmena and Granddiddy's new table!

And then Mema and Boobus came and she got a new "baby" to love...

You know how she loves that Pooh bear!

On Saturday morning, it looks like she got to play with Boobus while being wild on the rocks again.

And more playing with him and with Aunt Toni who came to spend the day, too!

Acting like such a KID!

...and because this one was too cute not to post!

And Granddiddy met them out for lunch!

And there's always time for play-doh fun!

We had lots of fun together after Michael, Commissioner and I arrived on Saturday, too!  Libby apparently missed us a little bit, at least.  We missed her, too!  Michael and I did get out to see a move in Friday night, "The Ides of March."  We both enjoyed it.  And we were ready to see B again.  She was just a doll all weekend and gets more loving and delightful every day.  Everyone received hugs and kisses when she'd go off to nap or bed and sometimes just on her own volition.  And now that she has Pooh, she has to sleep with him just like blankie.

I think this age is the BEST YET!
