Two Year Doc's Appointment

Yesterday was Libby's two year doctor's appointment.  I was nervous because it was an early appointment and she'd had such a long day on Monday.  Apparently it worked out because she must have been just tired enough in the morning to not be ornery but not so tired that she didn't want to get up or going.

So, perfect!

She cried for a second before stepping on the scale (?!) and got a little nervous when the nurses came in, but she settled down enough to get her height and head measurement.  She then sat there like a curious little angel while they stuck her finger to take blood (umm, I don't even handle that as well as she did!)  She was great and just sat there and watched and then admired the pretty shiny silver band-aid they put on it when it was over.  Good news- her iron is good!  But despite that she's a great eater - of all the food groups, the doc said to keep giving her the Poly-Vi-Sol that she's been on since she was slightly anemic at one visit.  Oh well, a few more vitamins never hurt.  And she's awesome about taking that nasty stuff, too.

So the big measurements are: 25.2 lbs. (25-50th percentile), 34 inches (50-75th percentile)!  We had some nice reading times and snuggle times between the nurses and the doctor arrival.  But the minute he came in, she started crying and clinging to me like grim death.  Poor baby!  I would pull one hand/arm off and start to get the other and the first one was back again.  Dr. Licata had to help me peel her off and turn her around.  Fortunately he just chuckled the whole time and he's just great with her.  He gave her a great bill of health and said to keep doing what we're doing.  So yay!  Hopefully no more trips for a long time!

Her big reward was gymnastics class!  She had a ball as always.

And here's another video of her at the chapel bell for your enjoyment.

There's some good laughter in this one!
