Since so many of her friends have gone... and Mimi walked in with her Minnie ears on, I figured she'd guess it pretty quickly after opening her backpack full of Disney-type items to keep her occupied on the long car trip down.
And I was correct.
However, the cutest parts came after I turned off the camera (of course!) She asked, "Are we gonna spend a night nap there?" When I told her we'd be spending not just one, but FIVE night naps at Disney, she sweetly reminded me to be sure to pack Matthew's "sleeper" (pack & play.) We let her know that this was more of a special Libby trip and Matthew would be staying with Gigi and Papa while we were gone. She seemed okay with that plan this time.
Mom snapped these after the huge-ness of the trip started really hitting her.

Wait, what? No Disney?!
But we knew he'd have a much better time with his plans, and boy did he! (And Commissioner, too.) Matthew nearly ate Gigi & Papa out of house and home, visited the park multiple times, and visited Papa's new office for the first time (Michael and I still haven't even managed that). He visited many of their friends, who all felt for his situation in missing Disney this time. But he most enjoyed (other than eating) playing with Papa's physio ball, carrying around pot lids and watching Papa's Jacquie Lawson cards on the computer over and over again. He really loves one that features a bear floating in the air with balloons, until each one pops, leaving the teddy bear on the ground. But then off he goes at the end in a huge hot air balloon! Matthew gets so excited over his predicaments and enjoys waving and saying, "Bye, bye" as the bear floats out of the picture.
Back to Disney - I told Libby that her suitcase was already packed in her closet and all she needed to do was finish getting ready!

And we set off for the hours-long car ride to Orlando. Libby was an incredible traveler, as always. She mentioned a few times that "we have a long way left to go!" kind of as a gauge to see where we were, but it was so different than the "how much longer?" and "when will we get there?" that it was really cute.
She was so excited to just stop at the Chick-fil-a in Valdosta where she got to play on their outdoor playground for a few minutes that for a minute we teased her about calling the trip a success and during around and heading home! She wasn't fooled.
We did finally arrive at our one-night off-campus hotel, where she wanted to stay with Mimi & Diddy in their room. So we gave them the room with the two queen beds while we took the king. Well, once she saw that we had a pullout couch in ours, that was all she wrote. Libby had to stay on the sofa bed, of course!
We got out stuff out and ready for the morning and then hit the road to try for our usual Friday night Mexican dinner. We got out of the parking lot, spotted a Chili's across the street and decided that was close enough to what we wanted. Ha! Libby loved that too. She had a pepperoni pizza and some chips and was happy as a clam.
Diddy had to work on Friday, so he flew down to meet us after work. I have to admit: Michael, Libby and I were not awake to welcome him. We were happy to see him in the morning though, and he helped Michael re-pack the car so we could get on with breakfast (at the hotel), get to our new hotel at Disney, get checked in and our Magic Bands working and hit the Magic Kingdom as early as possible!
We got there around 8:30 a.m. (not bad, if you ask me!) and got moving...
