Annie and Springtime Fun

What a fun time that Libby got to have with her Diddy on Saturday. For Christmas - or was it her birthday - Libby got a ticket to see the Broadway production of "Annie" with Diddy and Mimi at the Fox Theatre. It of course, included a meal out as well.

Unfortunately, Mimi had been fighting bronchitis for several days ahead of the show, and the bad old infection hadn't passed enough on Saturday for her to attend the show. What a bummer for them all. I felt so sad that wasn't going to work out. However, I did get to use Mimi's ticket so that it wouldn't go to waste.

After a bit of a rocky meet-up thanks to Atlanta traffic, we made it to a delicious lunch of hearth-baked pizza at Baraonda right next to the theater. Libby chose pepperoni pizza, and she impressed the waiter with her appreciation for the bread and olive oil, too.

We got several photos before the show, and the waiter was good enough to snap one of our group, too.

And Libby was happy to try on Diddy's coat, too.

Before the show, Libby loved climbing up and down the stairs. Diddy took her up to see a better view from the balcony, too. We got there pretty early, so we made the most of it. Libby even got some Reece's Pieces to enjoy during the show.  They also walked up right to the front of the stage to check out the orchestra pit.

She really enjoyed it. She loved seeing a real, live dog on the stage, hitting his marks and cues, just as expected. She laughed a lot, and sat right up on the edge of her seat to watch the orphan girls perform. Every role was really well done. She had such fun that she may have even fallen asleep on the way home.

Diddy got to stay for a bit afterward and enjoy dinner with us. So Matthew and Libby got even more fun play time with him.

Spring has officially spring around here, too.

It's been quite warm overall, and we've even been getting some raid. Mostly it has been a night, so that's been nice. It hasn't kept the pollen down a ton, but it's made for some nice days. We're all just on allergy medications to get through it.

I also got to surprise Libby at lunch recently. Her friends all wanted photos after we took our own selfie!

She also recently had school picture day! Here's the dress she wore. It was one that I also wore for picture day.

And if not outside frolicking with all their friends and working on their trampoline and bars, they are always practicing gymnastics around the house.

We also had yet another "Spirit Night" at Chick-fil-A.

Plus, we finally made it back to Sunday school after a number of weeks out of town.

And we got to have some fun time with friends over at the house and and their houses, the Lights and Martins, recently. We loved having so many friends for the kids to play with, and we've really been enjoying this season together.
