We've had all of our baby showers (the last one being this past weekend in Cedartown), which were so fun and unique on their own ways, and we've met with our financial advisor and others to make sure we're on the right track and doing all of the important things we should be doing to ensure that Baby G is taken care of (as much as is humanly possible anyway) no matter what life might bring our way. And - an early Christmas present - Michael's car is paid off! (If you know me, you know I hate debt - and while a house is 'good debt' - in my opinion, a car is not).
I'm also finished with those important 'thank you' notes from the shower! And now that the chest of drawers has finally been delivered, I have begun the finishing touches to Baby G's room - including load after load of laundry and sorting where all of these wonderful cothes, bibs, hats, booties, blankets, toys, stuffed animals, etc. should go! PS- the load looks the same in the washing machine as our clothes - but come folding time - there are exponentially more baby things to fold than adult clothes since they are so tiny! I think it really does take me longer to fold them than my own clothes. And just like in 'Knocked Up,' I find my tummy is a great prop for helping me rest those tiny clothes on while I fold them.
So look forward to room pictures soon.
Some photos from the weekend:
Michael's sweet aunt, cousin and her kids came all the way from Northwest Ohio to throw a shower for Baby G!

Our annual pre-Christmas dinner (though this year was football game watching - Go Jackets!) with our parents. Don't you love our festive headgear?!
Dinner at the Gordon's again on Sunday with Grandpa Gordon and Betty Anne.

What a fun weekend! And the Jackets won to boot!
