Cute Things and Random Thoughts

I keep forgetting to blog about a cute event that occurred about two weeks ago- so I will now.  Michael and I were relaxing in the evening (probably watching 'Glee' since that's about all I sit down to watch these days) with my feet up on the edge of our coffee table.  I leaned forward pretty suddenly, clearly in pain.  I had a foot cramp and went to grab it and massage it out, when in the corner of my eye, I saw Michael tense and lean forward, very attentive to what I was doing.  I reassured him that I just had a foot cramp and he relaxed.  But he told me that he was just about to ask if he needed to start packing his bag for the hospital!  Very sweet.  ...and packing our bags 'just in case' is something that we should do in the near future, I guess.

Yesterday, I ran to the mall at lunch to look for a sweater that either just has one button in the front or doesn't button in the front, that I could use for the next few pregnant weeks since the weather has turned a bit chillier, that would still look cute when I'm not pregnant (so I'm not throwing money away).  (I have come to love sweaters in the winder, but most of mine are pullover, button-less types).  I tried a couple on at Motherhood Maternity, but decided against them.  When I told the girl that it probably wasn't worth it at this point, she asked how far along I was - obviously prepared for her sales pitch on why I should go ahead and buy it - and I told her I only had five weeks to go, give or take, she looked stunned.  She didn't go for the pitch and in fact told me not to bother.  She was shocked and thought I might not be due until March or so.  Of course, she's still a saleswoman and no doubt good at flattery, but hey, I'll take it!

What else?

I've decided I need some new slippers and am on the hunt for some that are perfect and exactly what I want - no luck replacing my oldies but goodies yet.

Oh, I'm also feeling like if I'm going to be this restless, with three trips to the bathroom at night anyway, Baby G may as well just arrive a little early!  I don't really see it happening, but you never know...

I'm definitely ready to know whether G is a boy or a girl and know his or her real name!

And I'm ready to stop saying him or her and he or she.  But what a fun thing to look forward to when G arrives!  There will be so many surprises for us all.

  1. If it makes it any easier in terms of packing bags, I didn't use a single thing in my bag but toiletries and socks. And they will give you those if you don't have them. I did put on a different top to go home, but wore the same skirt. The most important things we took were the camera, the computer, and Charlotte's clothes to come home in. They'll also give you a hospital gown made for nursing. And you may scoff now, but you will adore the mesh underwear! I highly recommend stashing some to take home with you!

I can't believe Baby G will be here in a month (or less)! So exciting!
