Well, Miss Busy Bee is staying busy!
She's been to the pool three of the last five days, honing her skills. I don't know what we're going to do when the pool closes for the year! (But let's not dwell on the negative...)
She has found other activities to keep her occupied indoors: coloring/stickering and Play-Doh!
While she's been busy with these for months, but seems to have a renewed vigor for them! Aunt Toni gave her all of Sarah and Millie's old play-doh toys and she loves discovering how they all work!
She also requests materials quite frequently so that she can color. But even more than that, she loves putting stickers on paper, so we combine them for our artistic creations. Michael wants to keep every thing she ever creates, so I created a notebook in which to keep them protected (and tidy). I just slip them into sheet protectors and we're all set!
Yesterday, Libby attended her first baseball game! We attended "Family Fun Day" for Michael's office at the Gwinnett Braves game. It was our first time at the G-Braves, too (being Rome Braves loyalists for the minor leagues.)
Mostly she did her own thing (i.e.- climbing through/on the bottom shelves of the big drink coolers and pushing them around, ran up and down on the beam of sun shining through on the floor of the hallway outside the suite area and pointing out peanut shells on the ground while I remind her that she doesn't need to tidy them up.) But she also enjoyed the game early on.
She wasn't a big fan of ballpark food, preferring her goldfish over soft pretzels and corn dogs. However, she did like her oatmeal raisin cookie!
She's also going through a VERY loving phase, that I am personally loving VERY much! She'll just randomly come over and hug on and kiss your legs, arms, face, whatever, all throughout the day. It's the Best! And THE best time is bed. The child goes around picking up her toys and practically runs up the stairs. She can't wait to get her teeth brushed after her books and prayers and then comes back in her bedroom to really love up her blankie and the lucky parent who gets those last few minutes with her as we put her in the crib.
Ahh... bliss.

I was the recipient of the "loving phase" today. It was so, so sweet. She hugged and kissed me, spontaneously, today so many times, it brought me to tears. And I swear she said "wuv you." I also got to rock her before her nap today.........something she hasn't enjoyed or allowed so much recently. Such a sweetie! Love, GiGi
