Bouncing Is What Babies Do Best!

How about this for fun times?!

Actually, it cuts off just before the real hilarity began. They have such fun with each other.

My baby boy had his special one year doctor's appointment today. I was excited to see his stats, but not so much excited for the shots. Libby came with me to help out and they were both troopers, big time!

Boo Head is 75th percentile on everything. He's 30.5 inches, 24 lbs. 13 oz., and has a 44 mm head circumference. His head has grown the fastest percentage-wise since the last visit! I said it's from all the compliments and loving he's getting. I'm sure the nurse has never heard that before, but she chuckled anyway.

I'm so in love with that little boy.

Dr. Licata and the nurses declared him obviously healthy and happy. He did get the shots, and he cried a bit, but really not too much. He was very sad during the shots, but then quickly okay again -and then he was pretty disappointed that I had to sit him down in order to get him dressed again. I was so happy that we were able to get his first flu shot at the same time as the others. (We sadly do have to go back for his booster in a month. And Libby got the flu mist - so yay!) And then... Gigi was there to save the day and take him home so I could take Libby to school and go to work.

He was pretty happy to get to snuggle tonight and he needed some extra tenderness today. He's teething pretty seriously these days too - and I think we're going to have to move up a size in nighttime diapers.

The big news is that he'll be moving to whole milk from formula. And of course off bottles. I'm pretty sad on that front. We'll just start with the blend of formula and whole milk first. I'm not really in a rush to move to cups this time. We'll get there. And I'll be sad about it.

In other news, last weekend, Libby and Matthew got to go to the Martin girls' birthday party at CHAMPION KIDS! They both had a blast. And Libby got to ride the zip line for the first time -- and Matthew did, too! They had a little car they attached to it for the babies. With both the zip line bar and the car, the girls working the party still held on to them the whole time. But the big kids got to drop off into the foam pit at the end. Great fun! (One turn each.)

Check out this cutie! This outfit was Sarah & Millie's before Libby became the lucky recipient.

Check this sporty little dude with his track suit - and his loving big sister.

This week, he helped us with the raking and pine straw distribution!

And Libby came home with the cutest new placemat she made at school.

Also, have I mentioned how we have to play "find the paci" after every nap time? Much like Libby used to toss her toys, Matthew tosses his paci's instead - usually on the wall side (read: hard to reach) of his crib. It's a fun game we play.

And now... back to party doings!
