The Fair!

A few weeks ago in the heat of July... wait, no, it was the extreme heat of September... we took the kids to the fair!

It was incredibly fun. We got there early enough to enjoy more than and hour of rides for free! Whoo hoo. Our first ride got things started on a wild note: the Tilt-a-Whirl!

For the first bit, it was one ride or activity after the next! They enjoyed the fun house so much that we had to do it three times in a row.

We had fun with bumper cars, and Matthew was pretty excited to drive cars, as was Libby!

Libby was VERY eager to ride the Ferris wheel. I'm not personally a big fan of this, but, for Libby, anything. Michael got to ride the smaller one that was more Matthew-friendly. He didn't meet the height requirement for the big guy this time.

Daddy also got to ride the carousel so I could take pictures!

I think I may also have been answering some emails between rides... and maybe even on the Ferris wheel, but mostly we were all just there together, and it was lots of fun for us all!

Now, it is the fair, so we obviously also had to visit the cute animals and produce, too! They got to feed the goats and sheep, check out all kinds of baby chicks and chickens, and then play with the bunnies, too!

In all honesty, part of that visit was just getting out of the beating sun.

But we saved a few more quick rides and fun activities for the end, after we'd stopped for some snow cones, of course.

Libby and Matthew's last rides were some cute "Nemos" for Matthew alone, and Libby and I did a "bigger" rollercoaster. Then, she agreed to ride with him on the caterpillar roller coaster for the last thing! I was really impressed.

My babies are thrill-seekers! Now, they are generally pretty sensible ones, but I LOVE that they love a good roller coaster or twirly ride. We did a kid-sized Pirate ship ride, too. Libby did say "no" to the huge swings, (and I have to say, I was relieved).

A great year at the fair!

And one more of my cute girl, ready for gymnastics and trying not to smile at how cute she is in those pigtails!
