Interview with a Three-Year Old

I neglected to mention in my last post that apparently Michael and I aren't "livin' right" (or doing whatever it is you have to do to have things go your way completely and avoid bad luck.) After the refrigerator issue, our washing machine died mid-rinse cycle last Sunday while washing a load of whites. I hauled about 60 lbs. of wet towels, etc. over to Mandy and Nick's to wash them again and get them partially dry before returning home to complete the drying. Thank goodness (again!) for them! Michael and I took turns during the heartbreaking Falcons game (and after) bailing the excess water from the machine. The good news was that we had our handy repair man over Tuesday and he was able to make a repair that seems to have fixed the problem. Not as cheap as I'd hoped- but what ever is? And I wasn't in the mood for a new washing machine- sorry.

Poor Michael spent three nights this week working, after work, from 8 p.m. to midnight or 2 a.m. I've been feeling half-dead from this sinus/upper respiratory infection but switched antibiotics this week and had the thrilling experience on Thursday of completing several items on my to do list that had been lingering there for far too long. I was ridiculously proud too, that I even took Commissioner for a walk - AND squeezed in a little weight exercise in the afternoon. Boy was I tired that night- but at least I'd earned it!

Yesterday was a little unexpectedly nutty at work with some news coming out that will affect us in the coming months and years. Michael and I gave "The Following" a chance last night - Kevin Bacon's new show - but stopped about three-quarters of the way through because it was SO over the top in every aspect. Ah well, I didn't need to start a new TV show anyway. I've got a high school friend's baby shower to attend today with Mandy and tomorrow I am hosting my neighborhood book club! So I'm glad I'm feeling much better. We read "The Casual Vacancy" by J.K. Rowling, which was a bit tough to get into, but I did wind up liking it despite its' depressing-ness. Should be a good discussion and I'm having tea-themed refreshments since it's British. Gotta get on with my scone-making this afternoon. (And have I mentioned that Libby is a scone-lover herself?)

So on to the interview. It took several attempts and plenty of cajoling to get her answers!

I hope she never goes that far!
