Yes, it SNOWED in north Georgia where we go to "the mountains." And it was Mountain weekend, so timing was perfect.
Libby was pretty surprised - and excited - to see snow on the ground when we drove up in the morning! Fortunately, the roads were not a problem. They had actually prepped with salting the roads (and yes, between my trips to Augusta, Statesboro and now this, my car is in serious need of a good bath.)
She and Diddy went in and out all day, building a "snow mountain" (it was too dry for a snowman), playing, visiting the lake, collecting sticks to ROAST MARSHMALLOWS in the fireplace and more! She definitely enjoyed her S'mores - as did I!

| Poor girl- the fire was too warm for her to actually face it for too long without it hurting her eyes. |
Yesterday was election day and the results were pretty huge for our country.
It was also a big day for Matthew. He got new, big boy shoes!
He was fitted for a size 6, which sounds pretty big to me, but the lady fitting him called his feet "petite." In truth, they were quite long at birth, but they haven't grown as quickly as the rest of him. My poor guy is having some diaper rash issues right now due to teething - and he got his 5th tooth (bottom) on Sunday. He wake up and it was really poking pretty well from the surface. I can hardly believe it.
After he got his shoes, it was a beautiful day and Libby didn't have school since it was election day, so we went to the park. She had a great fun time, and Matthew did, too. We even took a Chick-fil-A picnic. He was pretty funny getting used to his big, real new shoes, especially on the uneven mulch. He got used to it all pretty darn quick, though.
Aren't these guys cute? And boy they are sweet, too!
