Libby was up early enough from her nap to actually be in costume when Ty, Riley and the Pearsons arrived!
Like so many of us, when Libby finds an idea that works, she sticks with it. So, each Halloween since she's been able to choose, she's been the same thing for two years in a row. (It IS kind of a tradition in my family... why let a good costume only get use once?!) So, she chose to again be a honeybee this year, with Commissioner the same and Matthew also the same as last year - Winnie the Pooh! (He did have to get a bigger costume, though.)
Commish!
Winnie the Pooh! When I saw him all dressed up, oh, be still my heart. Never was there a more cuddly bear!
With the gang from Pooh Corner.
With the other honeybee!
And then, their friends, Leonardo (Ninja Turtle) and little monkey came by to eat and trick-or-treat with us, too!
Oh, and Clark Kent/Superman even showed up!
But back to my guy...
But, where's the candy? Why does my bucket have no HUN-ny?!
(Yes, it's on my list for this week to get Matthew some better shoes for walking now that he's so serious about it.)
So we headed out after dinner and had a really fun time, even as the day became increasingly blustery! With even a few rain drops.
Libby and Ty only walked in to a few houses (as seems to be their tradition). They had a great, great time together. And of course, Libby had trick-or-treated at school earlier in the day, but I think the thing she was most looking forward to was playing with Ty!
Matthew and Riley really made it a long time, too. They they came back in to play a bit more where it was warmer while their big siblings finished up in the neighborhood.
And it was fun time for - and with- Mathy Boy! More fun every year!
