Father's Day

This year has just been wild, so for Father's Day, we decided to keep it simple, while sharing the day with the fathers we are so blessed to have as such an important part of our lives.

We spent the morning just us and I made Michael breakfast that featured bacon, as requested. Then it was off to church and a quiet lunch at home.

The sun was super bright!
Our parents came over just after the kiddos went down for naps, as both were tired from the excitement over the previous days. So that worked rather nicely, because we got to spend a bit of adult time with our parents before the real excitement began.

Everyone had a great time playing with Libby and Matthew and you could tell that some of the pressure was off Libby and everyone remained entertained with one baby or the other! We made it "BYOS," or "Bring Your Own Steaks," grilled them, along with some bread, a big salad, baked potatoes, and had brownies and homemade ice cream for dessert. Everyone pitched in with our dinner, appetizers and drinks and we just had such a nice and relaxing time.

Libby made all of the dads some of her fine artwork and assisted with gift opening, of course.

And then the photos with the dads and their kids/grandkids.

Also, you can't see it, but once again mom and I showed up in coordinating outfits yet again!
