Well, Michael and I were fortunate enough to celebrate 10 years of marriage this week! And I really can't write 10 years' worth of feelings down anywhere, but certainly not the blog.
So I'll just say this: we had a great dinner at home with the kids and we had a lovely evening watching and re-living our wedding day. We shared some champagne and enjoyed some pots de creme. It really was just right and special for us. I feel the luckiest of either of us, but I think we might both feel that way. And I think that must be the best way.
I have to also share my thanks for our parents though, and our families. They work so hard to keep us and our little family happy, healthy and thriving. And drama-free. We are truly blessed and fortunate to have such a support system.
Michael also gave me a beautiful pair of diamond and while gold earrings, and of course we are going on a trip this fall that we are very much looking forward to and have begun to plan in earnest. And this weekend, we got to go celebrate Drew and Ben's marriage!
Last week was kind of a big reunion week, really. I got to get dinner with Mandy and Kristi on Tuesday night, and it was so great to hang out. Even when we did a ton of talking about the kids. But still, a regular conversation with your girlfriends that is not often interrupted, is a rare and wonderful thing.
