The little things are the big things, right?
Libby is great at math, and she loves it. That makes me so happy. Right now, subtraction is her favorite.
Matthew is the most fun little guy.
Libby is the most fun little girl.
Each morning, Matthew is excited about whomever is getting him up and sort of announces it as you call in, "Mama is gettin' me up!" And he tell us that he dreamed about "trains on the track." He loves school, he loves play with his friends, he is always excited about his sister, loving on "'Mishner" and his grandparents. He likes to include everyone possible and makes friends wherever he goes. I love him. And yesterday when I put him to nap, and was piling his many, many stuffed animals on him, he told me, "I love you very much."
Libby got my copy of "The Secret Garden" for Christmas, and we finally started it last week. We're really getting into the story now and tonight, as Mary saw the glint of metal in fresh-turned dirt, Libby squealed, "It's the key!" Oh be still my heart. She's really enjoying it. And it occurred to me just why this particular book is so special to me: it's baby gothic Brit-lit! The perfect intro for my best little girl. Oh the books we have ahead together!
I've even been making an effort to find time to read some again lately, and it's so nice. ...though exercise seems to keep getting pushed out.
