I Scream For...

...but Libby avoids...

Ice Cream.

Actually, she's tasted ice cream from a spoon before and liked it pretty well, but she's never really had ice cream from directly on the cone.  So, tonight after dinner, we all ran to our local Bruster's Real Ice Cream (in honor of Brooke) and got some icy delights to cool off in the hot weather.

Michael got a milkshake, I got a cone and Libby got her very own vanilla kids' cone.

She was extremely uninterested in sharing my cone or tasting her own.  Those of you who know Libby are aware of just how clear she can make her feelings on the subject of food (or anything else.)  Of course, they were melting pretty quickly!  So we had to help Libby with hers before it all melted onto the ground.  It took several minutes before she would even hold the cone.

And then she gave it back.

And then she found something to hold it.

And then she began cleaning up the drips.  ...from her cone and the drips of others...

More cleaning up!

Finally- a taste.

She really didn't eat very much AT ALL- but it sure was an entertaining experience for us and those around us, too!

Boy does that girl know her own mind.  Just because "everyone else is doing it" and makes it look fun, does not mean that she feels it is also for her.  I only hope this lasts in the important situations later!

On a side note- I'm currently watching "Taken" for the second time (first time since Libby arrived) and she's never leaving this house without a parent or grandparent accompanying her.

  3. Miss B certainly does know her mind! Not finicky, mind you, but she definitely knows what she wants, when she wants it. Such a sweetie.
