Libby opens it. At least at our house - the place she spends 99.9 percent of her time and finds the best ways to get into trouble if she can. She can now stretch to reach our door handles (of course our house has the lever kind, rather than knobs), pull them down and push or pull the door accordingly to open.
Great.
She has also taken to climbing the stairs more frequently when she wanders away from the room we've been playing in. So we're actually using the gate now that we've had up since she was tiny to keep Commissioner from coming upstairs and not being able to get back down and to give her the signal that she should wait for us.
Today, we went to the neighborhood pool for the first time this summer and it was SUCH fun. She wants to be Miss Independent of course, but was somewhat patient (for her) in dealing with her current limitations (like the ability to jump from the diving board, off the side into the pool, or you know, float without a raft or dog paddle on her own.) She got HUGE joy from watching the bigger kids play, swim, dive and play keep away though. And I was able to entertain her pretty well myself, too. :-)
No photos at the moment, but ones from the weekend (and more about that) should be up tomorrow.
